Objective
The objective of the audit was to evaluate Statoil's management of emergency preparedness and structural safety at Statfjord A. The audit focused on Statoil's activities for ensuring that assumptions, prerequisites, limitations and recommendations in the emergency preparedness analysis for Statfjord A are catered for, and that they are communicated out to the emergency preparedness organisation.
Within structural safety, the objective of the audit was to verify Statoil's own requirements for, and application of, standards relating to criteria for choosing design values for collisions, and also Statoil's assessment of these values based on new knowledge, and whether this has consequences for the requirements placed on visiting vessels.
Result
No non-conformities were identified.
Three improvement points were identified in connection with
- Module training
- MOB boat performance requirements
- Calculation of accidental loads
Statoil has been given a deadline of 22 January 2016 to report on how the improvement points will be dealt with.
