The audit concerned structural safety and especially differences between the XLE4 facility and the XLE1-XLE3 facilities and how these differences are being handled in the design/manufacture.
The objective of the audit was to verify that Maersk has taken the necessary measurements and implemented measures to ensure that the XLE4 complies with the petroleum regulations for the manufacture and design of load-bearing structures.

No non-conformities were detected during this audit.
Improvement points were identified concerning the verification of construction tolerances and thickness tolerances of insert pieces.
Maersk Drilling has been given a deadline of 30 June 2016 to report on how the improvement points will be dealt with.
