Total E&P Norge AS is the operator on the Martin Linge field, which is in the northern North Sea, around 42 km west of Oseberg.
The field will be developed using an integrated fixed production facility and a mobile facility for storage and transport. Production on the field is scheduled to start in 2016. The facility is being designed by the French company, Technip.
The objective of the audit was to assess whether Total's and Technip's management of emergency preparedness, materials handling and OHAS complies with the regulatory requirements.
Result
No non-conformities were identified.
Improvement points were identified in connection with:
- Handling of tote tanks
- Offshore cranes
- Landing deck
- Storage and maintenance of scaffolding materials
