The audit was carried out on 10 April 2014 in partnership with the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority, which has supervisory authority for working environment conditions in the control room onshore.

Background

The plan for development and operation for Martin Linge includes a concept whereby the manned facility is monitored and controlled from a control room on land. The concept of an unmanned control room on the facility has not previously been used on the NCS.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to monitor how Total is meeting the regulatory requirements for control room design and development and other appurtenant matters.

Result

Due to the audit being conducted in the early design process, there were various solutions in play and final decisions had not yet been made. No non-conformities or improvement points were identified during the audit. Our feedback is listed in point four of the report.
