The audit was conducted from 5 to 13 May 2014.

Background

One of the PSA’s main priorities for 2014 relates to the follow-up of barriers. This entails that the operator shall have established barriers and defined performance requirements for them, and follows them up from a life-cycle perspective. Safety-critical barriers must be safeguarded comprehensively and consistently, and major accident risk must be reduced to the greatest extent possible. Residual risk must be handled through well-planned emergency preparedness and a robust emergency response organisation. The audit is based in part on section 70 of the Facilities Regulations concerning helidecks.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to prevent air accidents that could be ascribed to the helideck or its operation.

Result

No non-conformities or improvement points were identified during the audit.
