The background to the audit was the industry's general challenge concerning corrosion under insulation, the importance of a well-functioning control system, and findings and incidents.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify that the company is catering for the requirements in the Framework Regulations, and the Technical and Operational Regulations.

- Barrier management in ageing facilities and equipment, and in the event of modifications, strategies and principles as a basis for design, use and maintenance in respect of corrosion under insulation – the surface programme

- Performance requirements defined for the technical, operational and organisational elements necessary for ensuring that the individual barrier is effective.

Result

During the audit, one non-conformity was identified relating to short-term disconnections of safety functions and one improvement point relating to surface maintenance.

Non-conformity:

Entails that a condition is assessed as not complying with a regulatory requirement.

Improvement point:

Entails that we have identified a deficiency or weakness, without there being sufficient grounds for determining a breach of regulatory requirements.
