Statoil is the operator on the Aasta Hansteen field, which is in the Norwegian Sea, approx. 140 km north of Norne and approx. 300 km west of Bodø. The field has been developed using a floating integrated facility, which also has the capability to be the field centre for other, future discoveries in the area.

Objective

On 6 June 2014, the PSA carried out an audit in the form of the meeting with Statoil to monitor how the company is arranging for the design of the facility to reduce the need for lifting operations and to ensure that lifting operations can be performed safely.

Result

No non-conformities or improvement points were identified during the audit. The audit report does however include some comments on matters that Statoil should take into consideration.
