Our emphasis has been on making the new site leaner, simpler and more comprehensible, and its content is now grouped under three main headings: regulations, supervision and technical subjects.

The content is basically Norwegian (ptil.no), but a large proportion is also available in English translation and psa.no provides an English interface.

Regulations

Under this banner, you will find key regulations governing HSE in Norway’s petroleum industry, relevant statutes, and information on amendments to the regulations.

The regulations are now located in a new regulatory database which makes it easier to search by individual sections across the various regulations.

On the Norwegian version of the site (not available in English), you can also see the way the regulations are applied in practice by clicking on a section and finding how its provisions have been applied when our audits have uncovered nonconformities or improvement points.

Supervision

Psa.no contains all audit reports, consents, investigation reports and other important findings from our supervisory activities. This information is easy to access using the search function.

On the Norwegian site (not available in English), all reports from our audits and investigations are now contained in a database which is linked to the regulations. That gives users quick access to those parts of the regulations which were applied when we identified nonconformities and improvement points – and which enforcement powers we may have used.

Technical subjects

Learning lessons and sharing information are important parts of our job at the PSA. The section on technical subjects is where we publish project reports, studies, technical articles and reportage. This is also where you can find reports and information from our major annual RNNP survey on trends in risk level in the petroleum activity.
