Well 25/2-22 S belongs to production licence 442, for which Aker BP is the operator.
25/2-22 S is an appraisal well, and is to be drilled to appraise discovery 25/2-21 (Liatårnet), which was proven in 2019.
The consent also applies to a sidetrack: 25/2-22 A.
The well will have the following geographical coordinates:
- 59° 52' 51.32" N
- 02° 28' 00.40" E
Water depth at the site is 112 metres.
Drilling is scheduled to begin in mid-January 2020 and estimated to last 36 days.
Aker BP will be using the Deepsea Nordkapp mobile drilling facility on the well.
Deepsea Nordkapp is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the Moss Maritime CS 60E type, owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling.
The facility was issued with Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the PSA in April 2019.
