The audit was conducted from 16 to 18 April 2024 and forms part of our processing of COSL’s application for an Acknowledgment of Compliance (AoC) for COSLProspector.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify through spot checks whether the technical condition, organisation, preparations for operation and relevant documents were in compliance with the logistics requirements in the petroleum regulations.
Result
The audit detected two regulatory non-conformities. These concerned:
- Deficient procedures for lifting operations
- Organisation of work in respect of the operation of hose stations
In addition, we observed two factors that we have chosen to categorise as improvement points. These concerned:
- Lack of training and practice in the use of lifting equipment in the drilling area and use of a personnel basket (FROG)
- Lack of guiding and protective structure at MOB boat cradle
What happens now?
We have asked COSL to report to us by 11 June 2024 on how the non-conformities will be addressed, and to give us their assessment of the improvement points observed.
