The audit was conducted from 19 to 21 August 2024 and forms part of our processing of MOM’s application for an Acknowledgment of Compliance (AoC) for Haven.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify whether the technical condition, organisation, preparations for operation and relevant documents were in compliance with the petroleum regulations in respect of emergency preparedness and the helideck on Haven.

Result

We identified six non-conformities during the audit. These concerned:

  • Fire stations
  • Marking of escape routes
  • Training of the emergency response organisation on board
  • Anti-slip protection
  • Helideck documentation
  • Sprinkler system for the fuel tank area

We also identified an improvement point concerning alarm instructions.

What happens now?

We have asked MOM to report to us on how the non-conformities will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement point observed. The deadline for this is set at 27 September 2024.

Before we issue an AoC, the company must have corrected all known safety-critical non-conformities, and the facility must have been issued with maritime certificates from the appropriate flag state.
