The audit was conducted between 23 September and 23 October 2020.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify Equinor’s management and follow-up for ensuring that design solutions are safe and robust and comply with the preconditions in the PDO (plan for development and operation) and the regulations. This also included experience transfer in the Johan Sverdrup project from phase 1 to phase 2 and it was carried out as a cross-disciplinary project audit.

Result

No regulatory non-conformities were identified.

Three improvement points were identified, relating to:

  • Barrier management – operational barriers
  • Materials handling plan
  • Scaffolding as a temporary attachment point for a lifting device

What happens next?

We have asked Equinor for their assessment of the observations we have categorised as improvement points. The reply deadline is set at 1 February 2021.
