The audit was conducted on 25 and 26 November 2020.

Background

The background to the audit was the major accident potential in the operation of flexible pipes. There have been, and continue to be, many incidents and technical issues with flexible pipes, which necessitates a long-term focus on their use. The audit covered Equinor’s follow-up and operation of flexible pipes, including dynamic and static jumpers. This supervision is key to our follow-up of the integrity of flexible pipes and the work that is undertaken towards continuous improvement and risk reduction.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to investigate the company’s own follow-up of the operation, maintenance and protection of the integrity of flexible pipes, and ensure that it has a systemic approach to the safe operation thereof, which meets the company’s own and the regulatory requirements.

Result

No non-conformities or improvement points were detected during the audit.
