The audit was conducted from 14 May to 4 June 2020.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to assess Equinor’s management and follow-up of maintenance after conversion to a new mode of operation involving periodic manning. We also wanted to verify their follow-up of the technical condition and performance requirements of barriers.

Result

The audit identified three non-conformities and one improvement point.

The non-conformities concerned:

  • The fire water system
  • Barrier management
  • Maintenance management

The improvement point concerned deficiencies in competence management.

What happens now?

We have asked Equinor to report on how the non-conformities will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement point observed. The deadline for this is set at 28 August 2020.
