Deepsea Stavanger is a semi-submersible mobile drilling facility of the GVA 7500 type, built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co Ltd in South Korea.

The facility, which is owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling, was delivered in 2010 and has been operating off the west coast of Africa and on the UK continental shelf. Deepsea Stavanger is registered in Singapore and classified by DNV GL.

Decision

The Acknowledgement of Compliance means that Deepsea Stavanger and relevant parts of Odfjell's organisation and management system have been assessed as fulfilling applicable requirements in the petroleum regulations.

Our decision is based on the information provided in the AoC application concerning the technical condition of the facility and the applicant's organisation and management system, as well as the authorities' verifications and other case processing.

The validity of the AoC assumes that Odfjell ensures that the facility and relevant parts of the company’s organisation and management system are maintained so as to fulfil the terms and conditions set out in the decision.
