§ 54a Communication

It shall be ensured that necessary internal and external reporting and communication are established and maintained at all times during installation and operation, and in hazard and accident situations, cf. Section 22.

In order to safeguard the communication mentioned in the first subsection, it should be possible to, inter alia:
  1. disseminate important information to personnel at the onshore facility during operation and in hazard and accident situations,
  2. disseminate important information between personnel at the control centre, and personnel linked to the operation and maintenance of process facilities and lifting operations,
  3. establish and maintain direct and continuous communication between the communications operator, facility management and internal and external emergency preparedness resources in hazard and accident situations.
Communications manager as mentioned in the second subsection means a person who has special responsibility for ensuring that the use of the communication systems is professionally appropriate at all times.
